Elysium III

ELYSIUM III – Display Naked Ambition
Three professional classical singers, under the group and company name Elysium III, announced that they have declined all major record label interest, in favour of developing sustainable brand partnerships with Land Rover, Aftershock London, Strutt Couture and Baldwin Pianos, breaking the industry mould and making a stand for independence. This strident decision, far from turning down the chance of a lifetime, has created a new business model that will form the backbone of a strategy designed to push the boundaries of the music business and find a new way, as the old model’s power diminishes.

In a move that will eventually see 100% of their music career supported through brand partnerships, Elysium III have turned to leading brands to provide the platform to springboard their recording career designed to launch their debut album in October 2009. No money changes hands, but in a sophisticated ‘barter’ Elysium III offered brands the chance to use combinations of Elysium III music in advertising campaigns, free albums in product marketing and free appearances or performances at their corporate events in exchange for necessary goods and services.

Ceri Ann Gregory of Elysium III commented, “We are used to controlling our career, and having established ourselves as a successful business through corporate events, it made no sense to hand this over to a record company. We had already made the business contacts and after a couple of calls we had sorted out clothes and transport and an idea was born. It really was back to old fashioned barter.”

Formed in 2006, Elysium III built their career and reputation as performers on the stage and in the studio. However, their main revenue stream has come from performing popular classical repertoire in the corporate hospitality event sector. Hired for business events around the globe, Elysium III have repeatedly performed for leading brands and developed unique relationships that have helped carve the path of their future career.

Due to enter the studio next month to record their debut album, Elysium III have struck sustainable brand partnership deals with Land Rover - transport, Aftershock London – clothes, Strutt Couture – shoes, Joel Anderson – photography and Baldwin Pianos.

Ian Brown and Sam Wright, joint directors of Bright Artist Management said, “The business has changed and it’s time for artists to begin their career from a different starting point, to take a different route.  We are thrilled to be working with this exciting and forward thinking act”.
